Friday the 29th of September 2017 – Countrywide Telecoms take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraising event by hosting their own.

The team at Countrywide Telecoms are today throwing their coffee morning in support of Macmillan. The charity hosts the nation-wide event to fundraise for those with cancer, and all donations of the day that Countrywide raise will go to support the cause. Last year alone Macmillan raised 29.5 million pounds through the Coffee Morning event.

The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan.

Why is it important to Countrywide? By 2030, there will be 4 million people who suffer from cancer. Such a large number of sufferers encourages us to do use our influence as an organisation for good, and to try to help anyone who has been touched by such a devastating illness.
